I started personal training with Mike around six months ago in Southend. My main goals were to lose weigh and to improve my fitness. Although I am committed to achieving my goals, I wouldn’t have achieved the same results if it wasn’t for the motivation, support and personal training that I have received from Mike. Just six months ago I would have struggled to run around the block, but 2 weeks ago I ran in a 10 mile endurance race and felt fantastic! I have lost just over 2 stone in weight and dropped 2 dress sizes so my weight loss has also been amazing. Since training with Mike I can honestly say that I have never dreaded a training session, every session is different and most importantly fun!

I wanted to say thank you for all your help and hard work. I was not as fit as i thought following my first session. When I started my personal training it was tough and I had to stop half way through, but your encouraging words and motivation got me through it. I advised you that I was in the TA and wanted to improve my fitness and run times. Six months into my personal training you came to the TA when i had my mile and a half run time assessed. I had beaten my personal best by a minute which far exceeded my expectations. When I was training in Purbright, my run time had improved by a further 45 seconds. I passed fitness tests that I no doubt would have failed prior to attending my personal training sessions. This has helped me to not only achieve my personal goals but goals within the TA. I have been training with Mike now for 11 months. When I started out I had been to gyms and not really known what to do and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I came to Optimum PT looking for help with my training and getting the results I had so long wanted, we have achieved all my goals and more! I came to Optimum PT looking to improve my fitness for my weekend football games and learn some Boxing also. The Boxing sessions are not only interesting to learn but fun to take part! Mike really broke things down using his Boxing knowledge to guide me through all aspects of Boxing skill. Unfortunately I gained an injury to my wrist playing football and thought I would lose fitness levels due to this, but Mike has worked with my injury to strengthen my wrist which has been really effective and at the same time pushing me with my cardio and still improving my levels of fitness! Mike has also guided me through my dietary needs for exercise which has given me high energy levels for the gym and faster recovery also!
